Mission: SAPO’s mission is to deliver quality humanitarian and development assistance, create optimistic communities, and boost resilience by improving the well-being of vulnerable people and communities.
The Support of Afghanistan People Organization (SAPO) is a national NGO led by women, dedicated to alleviating poverty and promoting the rights of marginalized Afghans, with a primary focus on empowering women and girls. SAPO was established to enhance its impact through strategic partnerships at local, national, and international levels, recognizing that collaboration is essential in the fight against poverty and injustice. SAPO aims to create an inclusive environment where women can exercise their rights, pursue their aspirations, and contribute to their communities' development. By fostering a collective approach to advocacy and action, SAPO works to amplify the voices of women, ensuring they are represented in all areas of life, including political, social, cultural, and economic spheres.

SAPO provides literacy classes, professional training, and actively promotes school enrollment to increase educational accessibility and social awareness in the communities we serve.

Legal Services

Legal awareness campaigns, consultations, and pro-bono representation for civil and criminal cases support vulnerable populations. SAPO also offers capacity-building for justice institutions, internships for law students, and conducts legal research to bolster advocacy.

Health Services

SAPO’s health programs include mobile medical teams for check-ups and medicine distribution, addressing the specific healthcare needs of the communities.

Agricultural Services

We conduct training on sustainable agriculture, covering professional planting techniques, seed selection, plant protection, and land management to improve agricultural productivity.

Target Population

SAPO primarily supports women, youth, and children, with a focus on women and girls, especially those with disabilities. Our programs are designed to uplift vulnerable groups through inclusivity and intersectional approaches, ensuring marginalized communities receive the resources and support they need to thrive

Miss Farzana Rahimi in the role Executive Director serves as the organizational leader, overseeing strategic decision-making and driving SAPO’s mission to support sustainable development. With over 15 years of experience in social development, women Economic Development , Gender and humanitarian fields, they bring expertise in guiding the organization’s operations, securing partnerships, and fostering relationships with international stakeholders. They have a track record of successful program implementation, impactful leadership, and guiding SAPO’s growth in alignment with national and global development objectives
Ahmad Samim AmakI SAPO Board of provides governance and oversight, drawing on a wealth of experience across development, finance, gender, and education. With over 15 years of collective expertise, the board actively guides SAPO’s strategic direction and ensures alignment with the organization’s mission and objectives. The Board’s achievements include establishing long-term goals, supporting high-impact initiatives, and ensuring SAPO’s commitment to ethical standards and accountability.
Mohammad Adil Barikzai (MBA + PMP ®) master’s degree in executive management and PMP Certify Mr. Barikzai in this role focuses on overseeing and executing SAPO’s projects on the ground. The Program Implementation Head ensures that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and with high standards. With substantial experience in program management, he coordinate field activities, manage project timelines, and collaborate with stakeholders to maintain project alignment with community needs. Their achievements include the successful completion of multiple livelihood and empowerment projects that have directly improved beneficiary outcomes.
Mohammad Asif “Alimy “Bachelor Degree in BBA and CCAI Certify The Admin Manager is responsible for SAPO's administrative functions, ensuring efficient day-to-day operations and compliance with internal policies and regulations. They manage office resources, streamline operational procedures, and support personnel needs, creating a stable administrative environment that empowers program teams. Their dedication to operational excellence has led to increased productivity and organizational effectiveness.
