Mission Statement/Vision:

SAPO (Support People of Afghanistan Organization) is committed to empowering Afghanistan’s vulnerable populations by delivering holistic training and community-based technical and vocational education. Our mission emphasizes job creation and support for businesses aligned with local market needs, prioritizing equitable opportunities for women and girls. We envision a future where marginalized communities are empowered, resilient, and capable of improving their livelihoods and quality of life through sustainable initiatives.

Level of Work and Locations:

Operating locally in Afghanistan’s northern provinces, SAPO targets both rural and urban communities. Established on November 26, 2014, and registered under INO.3313 with the Ministry of Economy, SAPO has nearly a decade of experience in humanitarian and developmental efforts. Our geographic concentration enables tailored responses to the unique challenges faced by these communities.

Programmatic Focus:

SAPO’s initiatives focus on capacity building, gender equality, income generation, and education, aligning with the Donners for Building Capacity for Progress. These efforts ensure that women and girls access community-based skill development programs conducive to job creation and sustainable livelihoods. SAPO’s programs are designed to meet proposal outcomes that support sustainable growth, resilience, and well-being for our target populations.

SAPO has a history of effective partnerships with international, governmental, and non-governmental organizations, contributing to sectors such as capacity development, women’s empowerment, economic growth, and emergency response. Our successful collaborations with international donors—including UN agencies, the European Commission (EC), ECHO, and other global partners—reflect our commitment to high-impact, expertly executed projects
